A Nerd and His Otaku

Christopher walked past Yukio's door, doing a double-take upon finding out the door was clearly open and it seemed as if the girl was glued to the screen. What was she watching that had her so interested? He knew it was in a different language, that much he could figure out.

He decided to venture into the room, no need to knock, he hardly ever did and she didn't seem to mind. Upon finding out what exactly it was that had the foreign girl's attention, a smirk set upon his lips. "I didn't know you watched cartoons." He snickered.

She jumped and reached for her remote, quickly turning the television off. "T-they're not cartoons! Besides, ever hear of knocking?"

"Never had to knock, didn't think this time was any different." He ventured around the room, picking up a manga and flipping through it casually.

"Don't bend the pages!" Yukio scrambled to her feet and took the book from his hands.

"You know...." Christopher smirked and looked down at the girl. "You can't make fun of me and W.O.W anymore. This is basically the same... I mean, how many do you have?"

"This and W.O.W. are NOT the same thing. These have plots, drama, romance, comedy and everything in between!" She said defensively, holding the book to her chest.

So they were just animated soap operas? Hm. "Don't get your panties in a twist. I'm not going to make fun of you for it. It's kind of cute that you have a little secret." The smirk was still there as he moved to sit down where she had originally been. "So... What's this about?" He asked, pointing to the television screen.

Was he actually... Showing interest? After all her teasing over his computer games and saying how dumb they were... He was still willing to try and step into her world... A big grin was set upon the young heiress's face and she plopped down beside him and began explaining it to him as they both watched.

When the 'movie' or whatever it was, was done, Yukio turned to face him, a small smile on her features. ".... So, you're a mage?" She asked, looking at him then his laptop.
